Music Use & Copyright Policy
Know the source and permissions for each recording before using it outside your personal listening or experimentation.
AI generation
New generation uses the original ACE-Step model through Replicate, pinned to an Apache-2.0-licensed version. The model licence permits commercial use; this is not a guarantee of exclusive copyright, originality or third-party clearance. You may use new outputs in creator projects subject to applicable rights and laws. Older recordings labelled replicate-musicgen used Meta MusicGen under non-commercial model terms; buying credits does not upgrade their rights.
Discovery and demonstration tracks
Jamendo recordings are existing recordings by their credited artists, not new AI compositions. Their individual licences control attribution, redistribution, modification and commercial use. A playable or downloadable URL is not permission to reuse a recording. Check the original track and obtain a suitable licence before publication or commercial use.
Prompts and sharing
Describe instruments, mood and musical traditions rather than requesting copies of specific songs or impersonation of a real performer. Do not submit copyrighted lyrics or other material without permission. You are responsible for permissions and accurate attribution when sharing any output.
Marketplace licences
Creators may offer pieces they generated in the studio to other creators under the DesiMixTape Marketplace Licence: a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual licence to use the file in the buyer's own productions, including commercially, but not to resell or redistribute it on its own. Every listing carries a provenance record of how the piece was made. DesiMixTape keeps 30% of the pre-tax price as its service fee and pays sellers weekly by bank transfer after a seven-day refund window; refunds are given only for a file that does not play. Uploaded recordings cannot be listed. A licence is permission to use a file, not a transfer of copyright, which may not subsist in generated work.
Copyright reports
Send reports to ganderecom@gmail.com with your contact details, the work you own or represent, the exact DesiMixTape URL or track identifier, and an explanation of the alleged infringement. State that your report is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised representative. We may restrict access while reviewing a report and contact the affected user where appropriate.
